Cultivating Uniqueness

When we are fully present, we become aware of a multitude of impulses within us.

Some of these impulses are rooted in conditioning—automatic responses shaped by upbringing, culture, and societal ‘education.’ Yet, at times, we sense impulses that arise from a deeper place, driven by instinct or an unexplainable, visceral gut feeling.

This subtler layer of impulses, thoughts, and ideas originates from a more vulnerable voice. This voice can often be difficult to hear. It may not align with the expectations of the world around us—those of our friends, social circles, or even our families. Because it doesn’t seamlessly fit the external noise or the common narrative, we might find ourselves disregarding it, thinking, Not you, not now.
